Commander’s Comments

Hello everyone AND hello 2017! I’m Looking forward to a great year. We have some new and exciting events planned this year along with continuing our traditional ones.
There is one program this month, Signing of the Vietnam Peace Accord, on the 27th at 6pm. Also this month we’re starting a monthly birthday celebration the 4th Sat of each month. We have the Polar Plunge, Super Bowl Party/Chili Cookoff, Ladies Appreciation Dinner and Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday party planned for Feb. We’re working on March Madness and St. Patrick’s day events plus several other spring and summer events. Please come out and support the post by participating in and helping out with these events. We especially need cooks. Please see me if you can help cook.

Thanks everyone for your continued support.

Auxiliary President’s Comments

Thanks to all who attended our monthly meeting. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year’s holiday. Now we begin our New Year.  Let’s see what more we can do for our Veterans in the coming year.

At our meeting we sadly had to drape the Charter for another one of our Sisters, Vivian Crouch.

Thanks to all who filled in for the ones who were absent.

For those of you who are going to the VFW Mid-Winter Conference in Austin Jan 25-29, please get your luncheon money to Lori by the second week in Jan so we can turn that in to the Dept office by the Jan 23rd deadline.

Thanks to all the Chairmen.  Our mid-year work is done and reports are completed. Thanks to Debra Crouch for all of her hard work. Let’s make the rest of the year a great one.

If you haven’t paid your annual dues by now you will have to rejoin, should you choose to do so, as Dec 31st was the deadline for our National office to receive your dues.

Our meetings are held on the 3rd Saturday of every month.  Come and join us. It would be great to meet more of our 330+ members and see more of you involved with the good things we do for our veterans and community.

Thank a veteran for their service and for the great post we have.
